I have been thinking about this Silver Jews tune a lot lately. Fab, Rhonda, and Harmony visited in August, and Fab played this song in the dining room. His performance helped me realize what a powerful message lyrics can provide given our situational context. We all find certain songs to be impactful at certain times in our life. Right now, this is one for me.
The Jambly Fam, May 4th, 2025 /
It turned out that the 2025 Family Jam was held on a beautiful May evening. There was a ton of food that we ate and commenced jamming. The players included Al Frescos (Rico, Jarrett, Matt, and John), Cliff Crosby, Rosemary, and a little bit but not enough David Israel. We had surprise guests (cousins Peggy and Cathy), and cousin Virginia renamed the event “The Jambly Fam.” We’re keeping that. See y’all next year!
